In accordance with University Guidance Document 31.08.99.M0.01, staff employees retiring or separating from Texas A&M University in good standing, with at least 20 cumulative or consecutive years in a staff position within the Texas A&M University System, may be nominated for Esteemed Staff Status.
Individuals granted Esteemed Staff status will be notified by the President. These individuals are encouraged to continue participating in campus activities and to use University facilities, following established policies.
Esteemed Staff members, in addition to the benefits and privileges of all retired staff, may be invited to university or division events related to their interests. They are also granted access to services and facilities, including the university library and parking, according to university rules. Office space may be provided at the discretion of the appropriate vice president if there is a specific need for the Esteemed Staff member's abilities or talents.
